Actress Park Hye Su has addressed the lingering bullying allegations that have surrounded her, speaking candidly during a recent media encounter amid her successful return to the industry through the movie ‘The Dream Songs’.
‘The Dream Songs’, which portrays the journey of a high school student attempting to confess her feelings during a field trip, marked Park Hye Su’s return to the spotlight.However, the actress took the opportunity to discuss the ongoing controversy surrounding heralleged involvement in bullying, which surfaced in 2021.

During the interview, Park Hye Su reflected on her earlier statements made at the Busan International Film Festival, where she initially shared her side of the story. “I first revealed my side of the story at the Busan International Film Festival. At the time, the allegations were being investigated, so I thought this would be over in a year, but I was wrong. I’ve been talking publicly about my situation at other film festivals, so I was really looking forward to the premiere of this movie”, she remarked.

In 2021, the actress faced accusations of bullying her schoolmates, but she vehemently denied the claims. Park Hye Su asserted that she was the victim of bullying, detailing instances of verbal abuse and sexual harassment after transferring to the school. Despite the controversy, she expressed gratitude towards the director of ‘The Dream Songs’ for choosing to cast her.
“I know the decision to cast me wasn’t easy, but I am thankful that they did. I really did my best not to bring the movie down”, Park Hye Su acknowledged.

Ending the interview, the actress expressed optimism about clearing her name in court, stating, “I am not sure how long it will take, but I believe the truth will come out. I believe this is just one part of a much larger wave”. Park Hye Su has taken legal action against her accusers, with the defamation case still pending in court. Her unwavering commitment to addressing the allegations and seeking justice underscores her determination to reclaim her reputation in the face of adversity.
