The nominations for the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards were recently disclosed, with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer leading the pack with an impressive 13 nods. Yorgos Lanthimos’ black-comedy science fantasy, ‘Poor Things’, also secured a prominent position with 11 nominations. Despite being one of the highest-grossing films of 2023, Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie‘ fell short, earning nominations in only five categories.
The winners will be revealed and honored at the 77th BAFTA Film Awards ceremony scheduled for Sunday, February 18, at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Notably, this venue has been retained for the second consecutive year after several years at Royal Albert Hall. For those in India, the awards ceremony will be live-streamed on Lionsgate Play.
The show will be hosted by Scottish actor David Tennant, known for his roles in ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Inside Man.’
