In a lucrative venture just before his enlistment, BTS member V has reportedly secured an estimated ₩6.00 billion KRW (approximately $4.61 million USD) in modelling fees, as revealed by reports on December 20 by Newsis. The renowned singer and performer will be featured as the face of the coffee brand Compose Coffee, selected to commemorate the brand’s upcoming 10th-anniversary launch in 2024.

According to the report, V had already participated in the filming of the advertisement earlier this month, with plans for its release in the near future.

Compose Coffee, in an innovative move, announced that the advertising cost for featuring V as the brand’s model would be shared with its franchise owners. Out of the total estimated ₩6.00 billion KRW, franchisees were requested to contribute ₩2.00 billion KRW (about $1.54 million USD).
This modelling fee aligns with the substantial rates typically commanded by BTS members for their endorsements. The report noted that in 2021, BTS’s annual modelling fee per brand was approximately ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $3.84 million USD), with the group representing 13 brands at that time. Notably, BTS negotiated a guarantee in 2021 that was 20% lower than their existing modelling fee, bringing their estimated earnings from modelling fees to ₩62.0 billion KRW (about $47.7 million USD) that year.

Meanwhile, V, alongside his fellow BTS member RM, commenced his military service on December 11. V is set to serve in the prestigious Special Duty Team based in Seoul, adding a new chapter to his multifaceted career.
