It has been nearly 30 years since the release of Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s role debut film Baazigar. And after spending nearly 3 decades in the business, the actress will be making her debut once again and this time in a web show, which is created and directed by Rohit Shetty. The show is called Indian Police Force, which also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Anand Oberoi.She plays a senior officer in the team and not many are aware that when the show was developed, the role she is playing was actually written for a male character.

Opening about Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s casting in the show during his conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rohit Shetty shared that he called Shilpa only a month before the shooting of the show began. He revealed that when the role was written it was for a male actor but then they why not take an actress in the show , he shared that when he called Shilpa she was shooting for her last film Sukhee in Chandigarh and she also had her TV reality show India’s Got Talent to do and shuttling between these two, she shot for the show. Rohit also revealed that Shilpa even broke her leg while shooting the show.
And when asked what made him zero down on Shilpa for the role, the director stated that there are only two actresses who can play a cop in the industry and one of them is Shilpa.
