Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkummar Hirani‘s Dunki appears to be concluding its box office run. Released on December 21, the film faced tough competition from Prashanth Neel and Prabhas‘s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which amassed over Rs 400 crore, while “Dunki” garnered approximately Rs 226 crore.

Dunki | Song – Main Tera Rasta Dekhunga

Dunki carried high expectations, as Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkummar Hirani collaborated for the first time, following SRK’s back-to-back blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan. The film had been made on a reported budget of Rs 85 crore, and given the star power of Shah Rukh, the makers won’t be facing any kind of loss with the film.
Dunki made an impressive start, raking in Rs 160 crore in its first week. However, it witnessed a 71% decline in the second week, collecting Rs 45 crore, and a further dip in the third week, with just Rs 15 crore. In the weekend gone by, the film minted about Rs 80 lakhs over three days and on Monday, it added another Rs 10 lakhs to its kitty, taking the overall amount to Rs 226.57 crore. As Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone’s Fighter by Siddharth Anand is set to release, Dunki is approaching the end of its theatrical run.
