Director Siddharth Anand reacts to ‘Fighter’ being considered ‘Anti-Pakistan’; says ‘My film speaks against terrorism’
Over the years, the Republic Day holiday has been one of the most important days in the movie calendar, in fact Siddharth Anand’s last film ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, also released on 25th.It reportedly minted about Rs 70.5 crore on Republic Day and there are similar expectations from ‘Fighter’.
But it doesn’t seem anywhere close to that amount. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, as on January 25, ‘Fighter’ has managed to sell only about 1.8 lakh tickets, collecting Rs 6 crore in advance booking for day two. The 3D version contributed the majority amount to the overall collection. The future of the film will mostly depend on word of mouth publicity and how it performs on Thursday.
