As the much-anticipated Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer, ‘Fighter’, gets ready for take-off this Republic Day, the advance booking collections for day 1 have started pouring in.
The film, which has had all of B-town buzzing with excitement over its release, was off to a rather slow start at the ticket windows. According to sacnilk.com, ‘Fighter’ managed to sell an estimated 11,727 tickets in advance bookings, accumulating a total of Rs 36.21 lakh from approximately 2,324 shows.

The Hindi 2D version of the film secured an estimated Rs 1.38 lakh in advance bookings, while the 3D version showed a more substantial figure, raking in an estimated Rs 18.41 lakh.The film, set to be screened in the immersive IMAX 3D format, added Rs 3.59 lakh to its ticket sales.

While the film may be off to a modest start at the box office, industry analysts anticipate these numbers to witness a significant surge as advance bookings open across the country today. The movie was awarded a U/A certificate by the CBFC, enabling families to come out in large numbers to watch the film. According to the latest reports, the movie is said to have a long runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes.
On the international front, ‘Fighter’ has already made an impressive mark, amassing over $100k in ticket sales, indicating a promising start beyond Indian shores.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film generated substantial buzz ahead of its theatrical release. The film’s songs have received a positive response from the audience, with Hrithik Roshan’s dance sequences adding to the excitement.
Notably, ‘Fighter’ boasts authentic visuals, having been filmed at real locations with the assistance of Indian Air Force personnel, incorporating combat jets and helicopters into its thrilling sequences. The Air Force Station in Tezpur, Air Force Academy in Dindigul, Andhra Pradesh, and Air Force Station in Pune serve as the backdrop for intense fighter jet scenes, contributing to the film’s realism.

Positioned as India’s first aerial film franchise, ‘Fighter’ blends heart-thumping action with patriotic fervor, making it a perfect cinematic choice for the Republic Day weekend on January 25, 2024.
