G-Dragon made an appearance at the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency for the ongoing the drug-related probe and even issued a statement over the matter.
According to Korean media reports, an initial reagent test on G-Dragon was conducted and the preliminary results were negative. Speaking about the same, he was quoted by Soompi, ““The results came back negative.I’ve also requested an urgent thorough examination. I hope the investigative agency can release the accurate results as soon as possible.”
He stated that he will comply with the police for future investigations and will appear whenever called. When G-Dragon was asked if he had handed over his mobile phone for investigation, he said, “I haven’t, but if it is needed in the future and is on the list of items to be submitted, I have informed [the police] that I am willing to submit it.” His investigation reportedly went on for over four hours.
Speaking about the ongoing probe, G-Dragon stated that he believes the cops don’t have any evidence and added, “I don’t think it’s unreasonable. The police are not personally after me; they are just doing their job based on someone’s statement. I also think that I am here for the investigation because it’s part of my job to deny or rather I’d say, to prove that the allegations are unfounded. So I wouldn’t say it’s unreasonable but in any case, I hope for a fair resolution, and I hope that unverified claims will not be insisted upon. This investigation in itself, both the police and I are not exactly sure of the circumstances. It’s ultimately the police’s decision whether my statements will help or not in their investigation.”
“I myself still don’t know about the specifics, but what I wish for is that the investigative agency promptly releases the results of the detailed examination as quickly as possible,” he had concluded, requesting his fans to not worry much.
