G-Dragon had a rather tumultuous 2023 after he hit headlines in an alleged drugs case. After appearing for multiple rounds of questioning, he was cleared of the charges. G-Dragon also celebrated the triumph with his legal team.
After the clearance, G-Dragon made his first public appearance recently. According to allkpop, the singer attended the opening day exhibition of a home appliance and IT exhibition in Las Vegas.G-Dragon made his presence felt at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and was reportedly snapped interacting with stalls set up by Korean companies. The report further stated that G-Dragon explored the self-driving artificial intelligence (AI) robot at the Samsung Electronics booth and also keenly explored showcases on AI and VR. He even shared a selfie from the event on his Instagram stories.
Embracing 2024 with his loved ones, G-Dragon ushered the New Year with Lee Min Ho, Lee Jung Jae, Lim Se Ryung, Jung Woo Sung, Jang Dong Gun, Go So Young, and Jung Il Woo.
Soon after he was cleared from the charges, G-Dragon decided to end his association with YG Entertainment, after nearly 17 years. He signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, setting the stage for his highly anticipated comeback in 2024.
Beyond his professional commitments, G-Dragon went on to unveil his vision for the JUSPEACE Foundation, an initiative dedicated to drug eradication. With the foundation’s slogan, ‘Guard the Peace & Love of Justice’, G-Dragon pledged an initial investment of 300 million Won and revealed that the donation would be made in the name of VIP, BIGBANG’s dedicated fanbase. He made this disclosure on December 21, while expressing concerns about the rising trend of drug consumption among juveniles and outlined the foundation’s mission to raise awareness and foster social change.
