Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra made a comeback into direction after many years with ‘12th Fail‘. The film has been making the right noise ever since it released because it got immense praise from the audience from the word go. It ran in theatres for many days and became a sleeper hit of 2023. Now that it released on OTT, more people are watching it and cannot stop praising the film.This includes many industry celebs as well. Earlier, Rohit Shetty, Anurag Kashyap, Rani Mukerji, Janhvi Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and many others have spoken about the movie.
Now Hrithik Roshan has also penned a note praising the film. He wrote, “Finally saw 12th Fail. It’s quite a masterclass in film making. Above everything else I was inspired by the use of sound and sound effects play in enhancing the moments. Brilliant performances. Mr. Chopra , what a movie ! Thank you for the brilliance. I am deeply inspired by this one ????❤️”

The film also stars Medha Shankr. Anurag Kashyap also said that the film left him inspired and that Vidhu Vinod Chopra has set a new benchmark for filmmakers like him who are feeling a little lost at the moment. Meanwhile, Rani had countered ’12 Fail’ to Prithvi Konanur’s comment that Iranian films are better than Indian cinema. She added that Indian cinema is the best in the world. She said that if Prithvi wants to watch a film which has come from the roots, he should watch ’12th Fail’. She added, “I think it’s a brilliant film made by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and it talks about India. It is India and it shows the struggle of youngsters in India and it’s shown in a brilliant way. I don’t think filmmaking is only about showing things in a certain way. I think when we talk about Indian cinema, it’s an amalgamation of what we all do. In India, we make the most diverse films. Outside India, they don’t have the diversity which India has.”
