Hollywood couple, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa, have finalized their decision to end their six-year marriage. The 56-year-old Cosby Show actress officially filed for divorce from the 44-year-old Aquaman actor, marking the conclusion of their marriage. This comes an estimated two years after they publicly announced their separation.
According to court documents obtained by People, Lisa formally filed for the dissolution of their marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the grounds for divorce. Notably, the listed date of separation coincides with their wedding anniversary on October 7, 2020.
In the filing, Lisa has requested joint physical and legal custody of their two children – 16-year-old daughter Lola and 15-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf.
Their divorce documents lists their separation date as October 2020, more than a year before their announcement. It will be at least six months before a judge declares them divorced.
Notably, Lisa has chosen not to seek spousal support in the divorce proceedings. It is worth mentioning that while it was a first marriage for Momoa, it was Bonet’s second. She was previously married to was previously to musician Lenny Kravitz. The two are parents to a daughter, actor Zoë Kravitz. Lisa Bonet also shares a daughter, Zoe Kravitz, with her ex-husband, Lenny Kravitz.
The high-profile couple, who initially began dating in 2005, managed to keep their marriage a secret until 2017, surprising fans with their 12-year journey from romance to matrimony.
