Rumors sparked in Bollywood circles suggesting Janhvi Kapoor stepping into Alia Bhatt‘s shoes for the third installment of the beloved ‘Dulhania’ franchise. The speculation arose following reports of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s purported absence in ‘Dulhania 3.’
According to PeepingMoon.com, Janhvi Kapoor was slated to be the new face of the franchise, fueling conjectures about Alia’s potential scheduling conflicts for the film. However, Karan Johar, dismissing these rumors, clarified via Instagram that these speculations are unfounded and urged the media to refrain from unfounded conjectures.
Karan Johar’s statement emphasized the need for accuracy and official confirmation from the production house regarding their film projects, discouraging premature speculations about the continuity or initiation of any franchise. He highlighted the team’s commitment to sharing details when plans are concrete and finalized.
Amidst this, reports also indicated the return of director Shashank Khaitan for ‘Dulhania 3,’ hinting at a fresh storyline detached from the previous installments, similar to ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania.’ Pre-production for the film purportedly commenced, with plans for filming in the coming months.
Notably, Karan Johar’s recent tease on ‘Koffee With Karan 8,’ hinting at Janhvi Kapoor’s involvement in a significant undisclosed project, aligned with the speculations. However, no official confirmation has been provided regarding Janhvi’s association with the ‘Dulhania’ series.
