Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who last shared the big screen in ‘Agent Vinod‘ back in 2012, are poised to break their 12-year on-screen collaboration hiatus. The couple hinted at their upcoming project during the final episode of Tata Play Binge’s ‘Now Bingeing’, which will be out on January 24.
Although they have previously worked together in films like ‘Tashan,’ ‘Roadside Romeo’ (voice roles), ‘Kurbaan,’ and ‘Agent Vinod,’ it’s been over a decade since they were seen together on the silver screen. The anticipation for their new film collaboration is now building among fans.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor recently disclosed their collaboration on a show. During the show, Kareena shared, “Earlier, he would be like, ‘No, no, it’s not going to work, it’s not interesting, and we shouldn’t work together,’ maybe because ‘Tashan’ or ‘Agent Vinod’ didn’t do well. But I was like, That’s not the case. I’m sure if it’s a good film, people would want to see us together. Now, I mean, we’ve liked something together, so…”
Saif Ali Khan added, “We’re actually working on something and trying to come up with something that takes into account that we are married, and it’s a play against that a little bit. So, it is a work in progress.”
In the meantime, Saif Ali Khan has undergone tricep surgery, which was triggered during an action sequence for his latest movie. Fortunately, he is progressing well on the path to a swift recovery. Addressing the situation, the actor said, “This injury and the subsequent surgery are part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands, and I thank all well-wishers for their love and concern.”
