Kartik Aaryan is yet to appear on Koffee With Karan but he has always been one of the hot topics of discussion on Karan Johar’s popular chat show. Recently, Sara Ali Khan along with Ananya Panday graced the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8 and during the course, KJo mentioned that both actresses share a common ex whom they dated at different times.
In a recent interview, Kartik reacted to being a constant topic on the show. When he was asked if it bothers him or takes away from his hard work, Kartik told Film Companion that he believes that if arelationship is between two people, the other person should not talk about it, adding that we should all respect our relationships.
He then mentioned that he has never spoken about his relationship and he expects the same from his partner. “It’s not good for someone to speak about the relationship. If things don’t work out… par jab aap saath hote ho kisike toh you don’t imagine it to be like that. You don’t imagine ke yeh khatam ho jayega,” Kartik rued.
He further added that one should respect that time, that moment and respect yourself also. When you talk about it, it’s not like the other person is only thinking about one person, they are thinking about both.

During the episode, Karan straightaway asked Sara and Ananya, “You actually both are very civil with Kartik, I mean where it started, and that’s great. The fact that you can be comfortable with your ex with each other though you have dated the same man. It’s kind of easy, right?”
Responding to that, Sara said, “I don’t want to put it like that, ‘Yeah it’s easy’ because then it comes across as frivolous than it is. It isn’t always easy. When you are involved with anybody, whether it’s friends, professionally, romantically, especially if I am, I get involved and invested. It is not like, ‘Oh yeah, it doesn’t really matter, whatever it’s today, whatever it’s tomorrow’. It’s not like that.”
She added, “It does affect you, these things. You have to rise beyond that. There actually are no permanent predicaments in this business. In my personal experience, there is no point making permanent best friendships, pinky promises, saying I’ll never talk to you again. All these ‘nevers’ and ‘always’ nahi hota (doesn’t happen).”
On the work front, Kartik is currently busy shooting for his upcoming sports drama film Chandu Champion. The movie marks Kartik’s first collaboration with director Kabir Khan. Apart from that, he will also be seen in director Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film Captain India, director Anurag Basu’s next Aashiqui 3 and the horror comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
