Katrina Kaif, who is gearing up for the release of the much-anticipated thriller ‘Merry Christmas’, with Vijay Sethupathi under the direction of Sriram Raghavan, opens up on the success of Vikrant Massey’s ‘12th Fail‘ and shares her perspective on the box office.
In a recent interview with Film Companion, Katrina admitted that this year is probably one of the best years for her to give this example, where audiences have seen high-octane action commercial blockbusters and an intimate story like ’12th Fail’, which did very well.
According to her, if a film possesses an interesting story, it will find its audience. While acknowledging the producer’s role in number crunching, Katrina pointed out that the responsibility of directors and actors lies in narrating the right stories.
The actress expressed that receiving the love of the audience is one of the greatest joys of her career. Reflecting on the relationships with the box office, Katrina feels that it can become a trap. The actress also emphasised the importance of letting things be and the constant pursuit of box-office success.
On the work front, Katrina Kaif’s upcoming project, the thriller ‘Merry Christmas,’ directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Vijay Sethupathi, will be released in both Hindi and Tamil versions on January 12, 2024.
