Katrina Kaif, who is currently riding high on the super success of her last movie, ‘Tiger 3’, recently recalled her good old modelling days. She disclosed that when she relocated to Mumbai, her sole aspiration was to pursue a career in modeling, and acting serendipitously came her way.
In an interview with Mashable India, Katrina expressed that her initial goal was solely to become a model. She admired figures like Madhu Sapre, Lakshmi Menon, and Malaika Arora, who were the supermodels of that era. They served as her role models, and she aspired to follow in their footsteps in the modeling world.

Although Katrina and Malaika have not shared the screen together, their lives have been linked in an interesting way. During Katrina’s relationship with Salman Khan, who co-starred with her in ‘Tiger 3,’ Salman’s younger brother Arbaaz Khan, a producer and actor, was married to Malaika. In the subsequent years, Katrina dated Ranbir Kapoor before tying the knot with Vicky Kaushal in 2021. Meanwhile, Malaika separated from Arbaaz in 2017 and began a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor.

Katrina will soon be seen in Sriram Raghavan‘s ‘Merry Christmas’ where she will be seen sharing the screen space with none other than Vijay Sethupathi for the first time. Katrina recenlty revealed that she experienced significant stress and pressure while trying to grasp her Tamil lines. Her goal was to rehearse in a manner that would make the lines sound fresh and spontaneous during shooting, which proved to be a challenging task for her. She expressed that Tamil and Malayalam are particularly challenging for her due to the difficulty in distinguishing between consonants and vowels in these languages.

The trailer of ‘Merry Christmas’ unveils a suspenseful storyline set on Christmas Eve. In the trailer, Katrina, alongside Vijay Sethupathi, partakes in playful banter, and as the night progresses, unexpected events unfold. Katrina commended Vijay Sethupathi’s remarkable ability to effortlessly switch between Hindi and Tamil, referring to him as “phenomenal.”
