Lucasfilm confirmed that Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni is all for another season of the hit Star Wars show, which aired its Season 1 finale on October 3, 2023. The report in Variety also confirmed the new live-action film, “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” directed by Jon Favreau and entering production in 2024.
‘Ahsoka’ follows former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire.The series features the live-action debuts of several characters, including Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger.
The official announcement by Lucasfilm now sheds light on the show’s return, suggesting that Dawson will likely be brought into discussions about the future trajectory of Ahsoka Tano in the Star Wars galaxy.
Lucasfilm is orchestrating a grand return to the cinematic realm of Star Wars, with an impressive lineup of mystery films in development. Dave Filoni, James Mangold, Taika Waititi, and Shawn Levy are all contributing their creative talents to undisclosed projects. Notably, Donald Glover is working on a Lando Calrissian film alongside his brother, adding an intriguing dimension to the galaxy far, far away. Daisy Ridley is set to reprise her role as Rey in an untitled film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, set 15 years after the events of 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
