To the delight of Ajay Devgn‘s fans, it has been officially announced that his much-anticipated biographical sports-drama film, ‘Maidaan,’ is set to release on Eid 2024. The release date has been collaboratively finalised by producer Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. Promotions for the film, directed by Amit Sharma, are scheduled to commence shortly.
The film will encounter a significant box office clash with Ali Abbas Zafar‘s eagerly awaited ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar are set to clash at the box office for the eighth time. According to trade sources, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Maidaan’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan‘ are scheduled to be released on Eid.

A trade source mentioned, “The release date for ‘Maidaan’ will be announced soon, and it is slated for an Eid release. The clash should not be an issue as both films offer different experiences. One is an action-packed film, while ‘Maidaan’ is inspired by a real-life story, catering to different audiences.”

Exhibitor and distributor Raj Bansal told ETimes, “If this clash is indeed happening, it will impact 25 percent of the business for each film, as we’ve witnessed in the case of Salaar and Dunki. Now there will be a race for the showcase of these two films.”
