Prithviraj Sukumaran On SALAAR, Working With Prabhas, CLASH With SRK’s Dunki, BOLLYWOOD Projects
The film releasing on Thursday ( Today) has already secured Rs 15.41 crore as its advance booking as per industry tracker Sacnilk as of 6 AM, from its 15000 odd shows, selling 5,58,766 tickets and by the end of the day is expected to have a total collection of about Rs 30 to Rs 35 crore. Coming to Salaar, which as per reports is not getting enough screens in North India because distributors of Dunki asking for all the shows for itself and makers of Salaar planning to remove all their shows from PVR Inox and Miraj theaters, is still expected to have a better start. As per current numbers, just in its advance booking sales for day 1, it has secured Rs 29.35 crore from its 10000 screens having sold 14, 00,839 tickets. One needs to note that ticket prices in South India are capped and the makers of Salaar had to go to the courts to get permission to increase the price, which they managed to get only for 10 days. Going by advance sales, Salaar should open anywhere close to Rs 55 to Rs 60 crore range. The numbers might take a bad hit if the PVR Inox and Miraj issues doesnt reach a compromise and shows are halted.
