Sanjay Leela Bhansali has announced his next film titled, ‘Love & War’, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film will hit the theatres on the occasion of Christmas in 2025.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the Bhansali directorial will be locking horns with James Cameron’s ‘Avatar 3‘ at the box office in 2025. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly been fascinated to make a pure love story that stands the test of time and this one falls right in the zone. It’s a timeless love story with three principal characters played by Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky. The maverick filmmaker is looking to take the film on floors around November 2024 with a marathon schedule. The film is reportedly an homage by SLB to the 1964 classic, Sangam directed by Raj Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor commenced his career by assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the movie ‘Black’ The director later introduced him, alongside Sonam Kapoor, in the 2007 film ‘Saawariya.’ The upcoming film ‘Love & War’ will mark their reunion after almost 17 years.

Previously, Bhansali had intentions to create a film titled ‘Baiju Bawra’ featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia. However, he opted to postpone that project and shifted his focus to working on ‘Love & War’ instead.
Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’, Vicky Kaushal in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ and Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
