At a time when the world was obsessed with ‘Barbenheimer‘, Shah Rukh Khan managed to etch his name in history once again with his film ‘Jawan‘ making it to the top 3 of the Most Searched Movies on Google for the year 2023.
The SRK action flick directed by Atlee, took the third spot on the global ranking list, standing only behind the likes of Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie‘ and Cillian Murphy and Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer‘.’Jawan’, which released in June, made a substantial impact on the box office. The film not only became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever but also collected a staggering 643 crore nett in India across all languages. The Hindi version alone contributed a remarkable 580 crore.

The list also featured other noteworthy films like ‘Sound of Freedom’, ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’.

Another Indian movie that featured among the top 10 included Sunny Deol‘s ‘Gadar 2’ which featured on the 8th spot. The film was a surprise hit, scoring over Rs 500 crore at the Indian box office.
‘Gadar 2’ was followed close behind by ‘Creed III’ and the list concluded with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’. The espionage thriller garnered a phenomenal Rs 524 Cr. nett in India and a record-breaking 1055 Cr. worldwide, including an impressive 49.25 million USD from overseas markets.

The Bollywood Badshah marked his triumphant return to the silver screen after a four-year hiatus with three back-to-back blockbuster releases in 2023.
