Sobhita Dhulipala reacts to replacing Priyanka Chopra as Roma in Ranveer Singh’s Don 3: It’s a big deal to be seen as worthy by critical audience | Hindi Movie News

In September, director Farhan Akhtar had announced that Ranveer Singh will be portraying the role of Don in the third instalment of the hit franchise. Soon, fans rallied for Sobhita Dhulipala to star as Roma in Don 3. The actress had also expressed her wish to do the part if given a chance.
In her recent interview, Sobhita was asked about replacing Priyanka Chopraas Roma in Don 3. She told Bollywood Bubble that if that happens it will be crazy because she is a fan of Priyanka’s work and her as a person.
“She has brought such fire to Roma. And I’ve loved Don, the films, the music, the energy, it’s amazing and I also enjoy watching action films in general. I have this keeda ki mujhe action film karna hai,” Sobhita said.
When asked about being compared to Priyanka, Sobhita believes that it was triggered by her fiesty role in Made In Heaven. After the release of the series, a lot of people commented on her Instagram, telling her that she will be a great fit for Roma.
“I can wish for it but I don’t know what plans they’ve in their mind. It excites me, it flatters me. It’s a big deal to be seen as worthy by an audience that is more interested in being critical,” she added.

On Koffee With Karan 8, Karan Johar asked Ranveer about what he would say to those who consdered the actor as not the right choice for Don 3. To which, he replied, “Ek chance dedo, 12-13 saal me thik thak hi kaam kiya hai maine, toh ek mauka toh banta hai (Give me a chance, I have done decent work in the last 12-13 years, so I deserve a chance).”

Don starred Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani in prominent roles. The film was released in 2006. Later, its sequel was released in 2011 and was declared a hit. Hrithik Roshan was seen in a special appearance role in Don 2. Farhan’s directorial was a remake of 1978’s Don, featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. A new era of Don will begin in 2025.
