Actress Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe 1994 pageant at the age of 19. Sushmita made her acting debut, playing a fictionalized version of herself in the movie Dastak in 1996. On January 16, 2024, the actress celebrated the 30th anniversary of her glorious crown moment. On three decades of achievement, fans and well-wishers could not stop acknowledging and sharing some throwbacks on their social media handles.

One social media user shared a picture of Sushmita receiving the award and getting crowned. Sushmita reshared the post as her Instagram story, and the fan penned a lengthy note reading, “The Road to the 30th Anniversary of Miss Universe 1994 @SUSHMITASEN47 30 years ago today, January 16, 1994, Sushmita Sen was crowned Femina Miss India 1994 in Goa. Who would have known that less than four months later, she would be crowned as India’s first-ever Miss Universe. & I was about 1 year old.” The fan pointed out the precious journey Sen had.
