In 2021, Taapsee Pannu launched her production house, Outsider Films, and has since been actively involved in projects like Doobara, Looop Lapeta and the recently discussed Dhak Dhak. In her recent interview, Taapsee revealed the reason behind her foray into film production.
Taapsee told News18 that her primary goal was not to secure acting opportunities for herself but to create avenues for those struggling to break into the industry. “It’s not easy to get a break. It’s not easy to convince people that you have what it takes. I worked hard on the film,” she stated.

Taapsee Pannu says she is ‘way too happy’ in her relationship with boyfriend Mathias Boe: Here’s what she said

Discussing Dhak Dhak, Taapsee expressed satisfaction with the film’s reception, both visually and in terms of production values. She credited the positive response to the movie as a validation of her instincts as a producer. Trusting her instincts has been a consistent approach for Taapsee, and she affirmed that this strategy has paid off, even in her role as a producer.

On the work front, Taapsee has an exciting lineup of projects for 2024. She is set to appear in director Arshad Syed’s comedy-drama film Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan alongside Pratik Gandhi and Prateik Patil Babbar. Additionally, she is reprising her role in the sequel of Haseen Dillruba, titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba.
