There is no doubt that Kangana Ranaut is one of the finest actors of her generation, who has proven her talent with films like Queen, Tanu Weds Manu franchise, Fashion and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Her last outing on the big screen was Ronnie Screwvala’s Tejas, a tale based on India’s first female Air Force pilot.
As the film is all set to stream on OTT from today, the actress recalls the best compliment she got for the film. She shared, “ I think the most amazing one was when we screened it for the Defense Minister, and we had the heads of the Air Force present. There was General Anil Chauhan who was so moved by the film that he removed his brooch and gave it to our director Sarvesh ( Mewara) Sir. He put it on his collar and said, ‘I’m so proud of this film.’ That meant a lot to us, coming from an Air Force superior. It was such a big deal for us.”

Kangana also shared her experience of working with debutant director Sarvesh Mewara. She said, “I think he’s just incredible. He’s one of the best things to happen to the film industry. He comes from a non-film background, which I think it’s great. Having more and more people come from the outside gives a fresh perspective to films. Otherwise, films are becoming very insular, mainly produced in the Bandra-Andheri area. It’s great to see more people entering the film industry from different walks of life and backgrounds. His fresh perspective on emotions, films, and bonding with audiences is truly inspiring. I believe he’s going to be great because his first film is amazing. Going forward, he will only get better, and I’m here to cheer for him. I look forward to witnessing his great journey unfold in front of all of us.”
