Vijay Sethupathi, who is gearing up for the release of his next, ‘Merry Christmas‘ with Katrina Kaif, recently recalled the time he first visited Mumbai. He revealed that he was supposed to do ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘.
In an interview with Mashable, Sethupathi revealed that he was initially cast for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.’ Recalling the sequence of events, he mentioned meeting the director in the afternoon.After the meeting, Aamir Khan expressed a desire to meet him, leading to a visit to Aamir’s home. Sethupathi shared that this was his first experience visiting a star’s residence in Mumbai, where they had a casual chat over coffee and cigarettes. Additionally, he mentioned that Aamir Khan personally dropped him off at the airport afterward.

The 2022 release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was a remake of the iconic film ‘Forrest Gump,’ originally featuring Tom Hanks. Despite the star cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya in significant roles, the film faced a disappointing performance at the box office.
