On December 6, YG entertainment confirmed that they have finally signed exclusive group contracts with BLACKPINK. This confirmation came after several weeks of speculations and curiosity over their association.
It was announced that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will continue to collaborate as a group with the agency. The statement from the agency read, “After careful discussions with BLACKPINK, we signed exclusive contracts for group activities based on deep trust.”
However, there was no clarity over exclusive individual contracts of the four members.Commenting on the same, a representative from YG was quoted by Soompi, “Discussions are still ongoing.” The representative also refrained from revealing details about the group contract, “It’s difficult to provide details [about the comeback schedule and contract duration]. For now, please kindly refer to the official statement only.” Under the group contract, the agency is planning more activities and world tours involving BLACKPINK.
