I don’t know about you guys, but I am so fascinated with Cold Cases, Crime Investigation, Criminal’s mindset and more. Mysteries have been around for centuries and many have been either solved or still ongoing. But I can assure you that with today’s topic, the mystery surrounding crimes in America ends up becoming cold overtime, thus they stay shelved for years, being unsolved towards this day and age.

In this list, we will go down looking at the various historical cold cases of America and it’s short description of these cold cases located in America.

1. The Black Dahlia Murder

The gruesome killing of Elizabeth Short, sometimes known as the “Black Dahlia,” is one of the most well-known unsolved mysteries in American history. Short’s dismembered body was found in Los Angeles in 1947, and her murder has puzzled detectives for many years. Despite being the subject of several books, films, and hypotheses, the case has never been solved. Will the killer’s real identity ever come to light?

2. The Zodiac Killer

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, The Zodiac Killer plagued the San Francisco Bay Area, leaving behind a string of cryptic clues and unsolved killings. One of the most terrifying cold cases in American history, the Zodiac Killer’s identity is still unknown despite multiple suspects and investigations.

3. The Disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa

The iconic labor leader Jimmy Hoffa vanished in 1975 without a trace, and stories have grown up around it ever since. Hoffa’s fate is unclear despite several reports and reported sightings, leaving his family and the public to speculate about what transpired to him.

4. The Long Island Serial Killer

The identification of a potential serial murderer who may be active in the area was made possible by a string of horrifying finds made along Long Island’s Ocean Parkway. With technology now advancing and creating new and impossible opportunities, it’s a no brainer that this could bring a new beacon of hope in order to solve the many cases that have since long ran cold over the last decade. Committed detectives and police department are hoping to create more improvements in the forensic technology and continue to persevere through troubling times to assure the families can rest easy knowing the cases can be solved one day. The mysteries that is listed out today shall be a constant reminder that seeking for the truth requires patience and effort and it is shown through America’s history as well.
