In the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Kal Ho Naa Ho, Delnaaz Irani played the character of Jaspreet Kapoor, affectionately known as Sweetu, who is the close friend of the female protagonist, Naina Catherine Kapur played by Preity Zinta. Twenty years later, Delnaaz shared screen space with Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan in her debut film The Archies. And she felt the same amount of warmth and love that she was expecting, realising that Suhana was also expecting the same from her.
She told Pinkvilla that she had a warm conversation with Suhana and gave a big tight hug to her when they met on the sets of the Zoya Akhtar directorial. “It was nice meeting her. I hardly had scenes with her, but every time I met her, there was so much love,” Delnaaz said, further adding that Suhana called her Sweetu.
Talking the three debutants, Suhana, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda, Delnaaz said that they are all grounded and well-brought-up kids. She added that they were so dedicated to work and doesn’t think that they have ever made anybody else feel that they are star kids and belong to influential families.

“They were working just like any other kid on the set. There were no brownie points just because of them being star kids,” Delnaaz, who plays the role of the hair salon owner Pam in The Archies, added.

Sharing her experience of working with SRK, Delnaaz said that there’s so much to learn from the superstar and she has warm memories with him. She called him a wonderful human being and a wonderful actor.
