‘Dunki’ is experiencing a slow run at the box office, despite packing a punch in its opening weekend. At the end of eight days, ‘Dunki’ scored Rs 160 crore at the domestic box office. On Friday, the film added another Rs 7.25 crore to its total, reports Sacnilk.
In nine days, Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Dunki’ has managed to earn Rs 167.47 crore nett.At the worldwide box office, ‘Dunki’ has scored over Rs 317 crore.Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ hit the screens on December 21, clashing with Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’.
‘Dunki’ is based on the concept of donkey flight, an illegal immigration technique.This film also stars Vicky Kaushal in a special appearance, along with Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover. The script of Dunki is penned by Rajkumar, who co-wrote it with Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.
On Thursday, the makers of ‘Dunki’ hosted a special screening of the movie for consulates of various nations in Mumbai. Representatives from various nations, including Hungary, USA, UK, Welsh, Belgium, Germany, Australia, France, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Swiss, Spain, Turkey, Israel, South Korea, Finland, Mauritius, Oman and the Netherlands attended the screening, along with director Rajkumar Hirani.
