The action-drama ‘Salaar’ featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is experiencing a consistent decline in its box office earnings. The film has entered its second week in theatres and there was a noticeable drop from its opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crore on the first Friday.
On December 29, the film earned Rs 9.62 crore, bringing the film’s total net collection to Rs 317.62 crore at the domestic box office, reports sacnilk. Prabhas’ popularity contributed significantly to ‘Salaar’ which helped it particularly in the Hindi-speaking regions. The film has earned Rs 110.48 crore from its Hindi version. Despite facing competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki,’ which released a day before Salaar, the film managed to hold its ground.

On Friday, the film saw maximum occupancy in the Telugu-speaking states (27.11 percent), with Malayalam and Tamil occupancies at 17.17 percent and 19.32 percent, respectively.

Salaar Movie Review

Salaar has garnered a global total of Rs 500 crore. This achievement marks it as the seventh film of the year to surpass the Rs 500 crore milestone worldwide, following Pathaan, Jawan, Leo, Gadar 2, Jailer, and Animal.
While Salaar has received a mixed response from both film critics and audiences, its impressive box office performance reflects the significant impact of Prabhas’ star power and the film’s global appeal.
