Sharmila Tagore and Sara Ali Khan recently made an appearance on the final episode of Amitabh Bachchan‘s popular quiz show, sharing amusing anecdotes with the megastar. The grandmother-granddaughter duo revealed some interesting moments from their lives.
In a funny note, Amitabh asked them a fan question about the most entitled person in the Pataudi family.Sharmila playfully pointed to Sara. Amitabh asked Sharmila to explain it with any instances. She pointed out an incident when Ibrahim Ali Khan was born in their family as the second child of Saif Ali khan and his first wife Amrita Singh, Sharmila gifted her wedding earrings to Amrita for Ibrahim’s future wife. Sharmila humorously revealed that Sara ended up taking them. It prompted laughter from all three and the audience as well.

Sharmila and Saif’s past was also touched upon during the episode. Sharmila mentioned a difficult phase when Saif and Amrita went through a divorce when Ibrahim was just three years old. Reflecting on that time, Sharmila shared on Koffee with Karan, ‘When you are together for such a long time, and you have two lovely children, then no breakup is easy. It’s difficult to have harmony at that stage, and it hurts.’ She acknowledged the challenges but highlighted that it’s water under the bridge now. She emphasized the importance of time and how things eventually worked out, especially for the sake of the children.

Saif Ali Khan has moved on and is now married to Kareena Kapoor, with whom he has two sons, Taimur and Jehangir Ali Khan.
