Karan Johar is back with yet another sizzling season of his celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan. The new season of the show hit controversy right from its first episode which featured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
Amidst this, we got our hands on an old video of Ranbir where he spoke about his plans to ‘protest’ against the filmmaker’s show. Yes, you read that right! In an AIBpodcast, Ranbir was questioned about his feelings towards the show.The actor provided an honest response, expressing that he was indeed tired of it. He went on to reveal that he was somewhat coerced into participating in season 5 (2017) and made it clear to Karan Johar that he was reluctant to be a part of it.

Ranbir also disclosed that he and Anushka Sharma contemplated the idea of protesting and uniting the industry, as they believed the show to be somewhat unfair from their perspective.

During the same conversation, Ranbir Kapoor candidly addressed the backlash that actors often face for their revelations on the show. He added that Karan Johar is making money out of them while the actors, in return for their appearances on the show, have had to endure backlash and criticism. Ranbir emphasized the challenges and criticisms that come with being a part of ‘Koffee With Karan.’

The show is currently on its eighth season. Many actors and actresses tend to make intriguing revelations or sometimes find themselves compelled to share interesting anecdotes about their lives on the show.
