It is not uncommon for the internet to uncover the ‘inspiration’ behind some of Bollywood’s epic scenes. After discovering that Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ climax fight scene featuring Salman Khan was copied from an animated Jackie Chan show, the internet may have just identified the source of inspiration for another intense clash scene in ‘Animal.’
Fans have been praising the brutal fight scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. However, a viral video now suggests that the director may have drawn inspiration for this epic scene by revisiting one of Bobby’s earlier movies.
Netizens can’t “unsee” the resemblance between a pivotal fight scene in ‘Animal’ and a sequence from Deol’s 2001 movie, ‘Aashiq.’ In the video shared on Reddit, the scene depicts a shirtless Rahul Dev battling it out with a wounded Bobby Deol at an airport. The comparison has gained attention as it closely mirrors the ‘Animal’ sequence where Ranbir and Bobby’s characters engage in a shirtless brawl on a runway.

The caption accompanying the video humorously reads, “I think I downloaded the wrong Animal movie,” sparking a flurry of comments from surprised netizens. Fans speculate that director Vanga might have turned to the ‘Aashiq’ scene to conceptualize the ‘Animal’ fight.
‘Animal’ was released over a month ago and continues to dominate the box office. The film, which hit the big screen on December 1, has become the second-highest-earning Bollywood film of 2023.While Ranbir is receiving accolades for his role in the film, it is Bobby who has fans swooning over his portrayal of antagonist Abrar Haque. Given the popularity of his character, rumours are now swirling that the actor may return for the reported upcoming sequel currently in the works.

Karan Johar says Animal is the best for him in 2023: You can debate about the scenes, but…
