Janhvi Kapoor had made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with ‘Dhadak’ which was directed by Shashank Khaitan and starred her opposite Ishaan Khatter. Unfortunately, Janhvi lost her mother Sridevi in the same year, before the release of her debut film so, she couldn’t see her daughter on-screen. Now, Janhvi’s younger sister Khushi Kapoor made her debut with ‘The Archies’. Khushi played Betty in this Zoya Akhtar directorial which also starred Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dot.
Khushi also made her debut on ‘Koffee With Karan’ this season and she was seen with Janhvi. In this episode, Janhvi has revealed that their father Boney Kapoor was very emotional after seeing ‘The Archies’. He kept crying for three days. Karan then asked Janhvi if Boney cried after watching her debut film as well. Responding to it, Janhvi said that he did, but the tears for Khushi are something else. Janhvi, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor have often said that Khushi is their father Boney’s favourite child.
On the show, Janhvi was asked her reaction after watching ‘The Archies’. She also pointed a similarity between Khushi and Sridevi. The actress said, “My biases aside, she is phenomenal, she is unreal. I have seen her for nine months, slog her a** off every day in every aspect of the film. She is a very quiet person and that is something she has in common with Mumma. But in front of the camera, she explodes. I didn’t know that all of this was cooking inside. I live with her, but I didn’t know that’s what it could convert to on screen. I really do think she is magical.”
As per reports, Khushi is set to share screen space with Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan next. Meanwhile, Janhvi will be seen this year in ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi’ and ‘Ulajh’.
